Glenmore Valley.
Minutes to
Downtown
The Valley runs North-South and parallels Okanagan Lake. The Glenmore Highlands, Wilden, Knox Mountain Park, and Clifton Road area separate Glenmore from the waterfront. Glenmore Road is a major 4 lane thoroughfare that follows the valley all the way to Lake Country and Carr’s Landing 20 minutes to the North.
There is a wide range of housing available in Glenmore Valley. In the 1980s and ’90s, many retirement style communities were built as well as traditional family homes in contemporary neighborhoods. The area also features a few residential towers and several townhome and condominium developments. Most of these can be found between the shopping area at Kanes Road and Summit Drive which is undergoing a building boom with new retail and residential developments underway.
This neighborhood is known for a very convenient 10-minute commute to downtown Kelowna or over to the main shopping district along Highway 97 and Harvey Ave.
Prices for homes in this area range from the $250,000 for condominiums to over $1,000,000 for executive homes in new subdivisions. The main family homes are usually around the $450 to $700 range depending on age and features.
Glenmore has lots to offer with good schools, parks, walkways, bike paths, convenient shops, and store. A noteworthy development is underway with the 20-acre site at Glenmore Road and Summit Drive which has residential homes, townhomes and condominium housing going in by Traine Construction & Development.
