EVENT 1: BALLET KELOWNA PRESENTS RISING ACTION

Ballet Kelowna invites you to an extraordinary evening of dance with “Rising Action.” This captivating triple bill marks the launch of the 10th anniversary season under the artistic direction of Simone Orlando. The performances take place on November 3 and 4, 2023, at the Kelowna Community Theatre.

The program includes the remount of Kirsten Wicklund’s ethereal piece, “The Forever Part,” which promises to transport you to a dreamlike world. You’ll also experience “Studies of Cash,” a soulful exploration of country legend Johnny Cash, choreographed by Artistic Director Simone Orlando herself. The mixed program culminates in the world premiere of “The Royal We” by Montreal-based choreographer Jake Poloz, making his debut with the company.

 

EVENT 2: UBCO HEAT BASKETBALL

Join the UBCO Heat basketball action and be part of the excitement. Head to the UBCO Gymnasium on November 4, 2023, and also mark your calendar for December 2, 2023, to catch the UBCO Heat basketball games.

The Furnace, as it’s known, provides a fun and welcoming environment to enjoy a basketball game. The Heat Women are coming off a successful regular season with a 10-10 performance and making their second consecutive playoff appearance in the 2022 season. The Heat Men finished with a 6-14 record for the season.

The games are a doubleheader, with the men’s game tipping off at 4 pm, followed by the women’s game at 6 pm. The Heat competes in the Canada West Conference, facing off against universities from British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Notably, UBCO is the only USport program in the Okanagan Valley, so your support is highly valued.

 

EVENT 3: INTRIGUE WINES PRESENTS YINOSA
